What is your Passion:
One of my distinctive qualities is my love for cooking, and I’m quite a skilled cook at that – my ability to combine and use to expose Ethiopians to vegan dining. I always describe my food as merely Ethiopian adapted to vegan tastes, with various influences, such as Spanish, American, and Asian cuisines.
As a philanthropist, I can bring an innovative approach; I can also introduce a hybrid model of giving by establishing a profit-making enterprise that uses its profits to sustain and gradually scale up its impact and remain financially secure, independent from donor dependency.
My life and career can be summed up, as Giving Back and, I believe: As you grow older and achieve goals, you start to look back and say, What have I done in life? My motto is: I want to give to another citizen what I got from life. If you deal with people the right way, the world will be the right place to live. My involvement with the Addis Ababa Diaspora Association is a personal call and is well-aligned with my passion and calling to give back and sustainably serve the vulnerable.

As Ethiopia experienced political turmoil and the country Engulfed in civil war Zeleke traveled as a refugee in the early 80s with his brother and friends to the United States to pursue his music and college education.
